The Hull Reckitt Seahawks can confirm that duo Jordan Fisher & Chris Wilcox will leave the club at the end of the current 2024/25 season.
Jordan Fisher has been with the Hull Seahawks organisation since day one. His work ethic and passion for the club have made him a cornerstone of ice hockey within Hull having played in teams within his hometown for all but one season of his career (due to no team playing out of Hull) totalling to a staggering seventeen seasons including his junior career. Fisher’s versatility and dedication have made him a fan favourite over the years making over a whopping 375 senior appearances from the Hull Stingrays, Hull Pirates and most recently the Hull Seahawks. A true gent who can be relied upon when needed, gives it his all and leads by example every shift with the ability to stick up for his teammates too when needed! Let’s also not forget about Jordan being a part of the memorable famous treble winning Hull Pirates side back in the 2018-2019 season!
Chris Wilcox has also been with the Hull Seahawks since the creation of the club, having played in Hull for a total of six seasons including the Hull Pirates and again most recently Hull Seahawks. The defenceman has spent more time recently focussing on the Head of Medical role for the Seahawks as well as his Bench Coach duties where he has supported Head Coach Matty Davies since the formation of the club. Chris isn’t known for his point scoring ability as a defenceman but having made over 230 appearances for the Pirates and Seahawks, Chris has shown his importance to everyone connected with the team on and off the ice with his calm and methodical nature. A fitting quote was mentioned recently whereby when Chris Wilcox does drop the gloves, it’s not to entertain a fight, it’s to ensure the safety of other player during a game when called upon which is fitting everything you need to know about the man. Chris was also part of the famous treble winning Hull Pirates side back in the 2018-2019 season too.
Both Jordan and Chris will play their final regular league season game at the Hull Ice Arena against Leeds this Sunday, 23rd March and will continue with the club until the end of the 2024/25 playoff campaign. Seahawks fans and fans of previous Hull generations are being encouraged to show their appreciation for both Jordan and Chris for the remainder of the season after giving so much back to the community of Hull over the years.
The Hull Reckitt Seahawks’ ownership team greatly appreciate the invaluable contributions both players have made to the team’s success and wish them nothing but the best for the future.
