HULL RECKITT SEAHAWKS ANNOUNCE TITLE SPONSORSHIP RENEWAL FOR THE 2024-25 SEASON

The Hull Seahawks have announced that locally based global health, hygiene, and nutrition company Reckitt will remain as title sponsors for the 2024-25 season. Reckitt, home to some of the world’s most recognised and trusted consumer brands, is partnering with the Championship National Ice Hockey League (NIHL) team for the second year running.

Dr Bruce Charlesworth, Reckitt Chief Medical Officer and Hull Campus Lead said: “We’re delighted to announce that we’ve renewed our title sponsorship of the Hull Seahawks for the 2024-25 season. Over the last year we have seen the team go from strength to strength and it’s been fantastic to be part of the Seahawks family.

“We’ve been able to introduce our colleagues to the fast-paced game and it’s really rewarding to hear the stories of how they’re engaging with the club. Many are now regular spectators; some have even taken up the sport themselves and others have children who are now playing the sport as a direct result of our dedicated family skate with the player sessions.

“We’re looking forward to the start of the new season to build on our relationship with the club and fans, build on the foundations of the last year and help them to continue to go from strength to strength.”

Joe Lamplough and Matty Davies Hull Seahawks Directors said: “We would like to take this opportunity to thank the team at Reckitt for their continued support of the club. Having Reckitt as our title sponsors has not only increased our visibility, but it has also given the club and our dedicated fans a boost knowing that they are backed by such a globally important company and one so important to Hull.

“With Reckitt as our title sponsor for the 2024-25 season we have some exciting plans to take the club and our community engagement to the next level so watch this space.”

The Club was founded in 1988 by the then Humberside County Council, and the team were called the Humberside Seahawks from 1988 to 1993. Over the next 27 years the team saw them relaunch under various ownership and management including Hull Thunder, Hull Stingrays and Hull Pirates. In 2022 it was announced that the club would be making a resurgence with the launch of the Hull Seahawks, making a nod back to the club’s original name and a firm fan favourite.

At the end of the 2023-24 season the team managed to finish fourth in the domestic season which was a massive improvement from our debut season the season prior and the club also made it to the National Cup Final against Milton Keynes Lightning unfortunately narrowly missing out on the Seahawks’ first piece of silverware since reforming.

The club narrowly again missed out on making it to the ‘Final 4’ play-off weekend in Coventry after losing in overtime to the Peterborough Phantoms at home in an exhilarating game at the Hull Ice Arena.

But the best is yet to come, and Head Coach Matty Davies is recruiting a seriously competitive team for the upcoming campaign, so we hope to see you with us next season. The first home pre-season game is on Saturday 31 August, doors open 4:30pm for a 5:30pm face-off.
