Hull Seahawks welcome a new Title Corporate Partner for the 2022/23 season: O’Leary’s and Oscars Bars.
‘It’s great news for the club. In the current economic climate, it is a huge challenge to find corporate partners. We rely heavily upon all major sponsors and the Title Corporate Partner is a vital slot to fill,’ commented Ian Mowforth, GM Commercial.
‘Phil and Donna have been a tremendous support ever since we held our first meeting. They own various businesses but our partnership is with the two bars that they operate in Hull city centre.’
Oscars is located on Scale Lane but the flagship is O’Leary’s (formerly Jazz Bar, 41 Lowgate, Hull), which has been fully refurbished with a main bar, VIP lounge and a well-equipped open entertainment area. O’Learys is also preparing to launch a very distinct brand of high quality street food served by a well-known and renowned local chef.
The deal with O’Learys and Oscars represents a milestone in the development of the Hull Seahawks ethos on ‘sponsorship’. ‘Bringing Phil and Donna on board is a vindication of our policy to attract partners in addition to traditional sponsorship. Ever since we agreed the deal, we have worked together to establish how we can mutually assist our businesses. O’Leary’s will be the official club bar where players, staff and fans will be able to mix,’ added Ian.
Both bars are working on special offers to attract fans and their staff will wear branded Seahawks t-shirts. Footage of Seahawks games from both the Hull and Humberside eras will be shown alongside NHL games. There is also a connection between owner, Phil Lee and local hockey; he is the uncle of fan’s favourite, Stevie Lee.
The first Seahawks event to be held in O’Learys will be the invitation-only Sponsors Gala Evening (date to be announced) organised by Phil and Donna. There will also be informal nights for fans to come along and meet the players once the season starts. We urge fans to visit the bar and make it our Seahawks home.
Sponsorship packages have been very popular and shirt-based sponsorship is nearly closed. We have extended the availability of remaining shirt-based packages until 21/07/2022.
